Accessibility statement

The site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That assessment is based on self-evaluation during development, not on an external audit. The Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019) does not bind a private accounting practice, but we treat the requirements as the right baseline regardless.

• Pages work without JavaScript: the full content is in static HTML because every page is prerendered at build time.
• A visible, sufficiently contrasting focus indicator on every interactive element.
• A skip-to-content link, semantic landmarks, and focus moved to the main content after a page change.
• Real label elements on every form control, aria-invalid and aria-describedby for errors, and errors described in text rather than by colour alone.
• The estimator result sits in an aria-live region, so a change is conveyed to a screen reader.
• The FAQ uses the native details/summary element rather than a scripted accordion.
• prefers-reduced-motion removes animation and smooth scrolling.
• Relative text sizes and no horizontal scrolling at a 320-pixel viewport width.
• Language marked with the html lang attribute, and on the language-switch links with a lang attribute.

During development, keyboard operation was checked on every page, contrast ratios were checked for text and for user interface components, and page width was checked at 360, 390 and 414 pixel viewports. An automated check runs as part of the build: every page’s title, description, canonical URL and structured data are verified, and any page rendering under one kilobyte fails the build.

• No external accessibility audit has been carried out. For that reason we make no formal conformance claim.
• The site has not been comprehensively tested with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). That testing is planned.
• The statutory panel and the estimator present information in a tabular manner; for the more complex parts an alternative text presentation is still being developed.
