How we start

Four stages from the first call to the first monthly report

  1. 1. Scoping conversation

Half an hour on the phone or in Teams. We go through the company form, the financial year, the volume of material and the systems in use. No cost and no commitment.

  2. 2. A written offer

You receive an offer that itemises what is done, when, and at what price. Not a guessed rate card — a price for the material we have actually seen.

  3. 3. Handover

We request the records from your previous accountant, reconcile the opening balance sheet and arrange Suomi.fi authorisations. If something is missing, you hear it from us.

  4. 4. Ongoing service

A named accountant, an agreed monthly rhythm, filings on the statutory dates, and a report in which the figures are explained rather than merely printed.

B2B tool

How much work does your bookkeeping actually take per month?

Choose the company form, turnover band, headcount and voucher volume. The tool returns the expected workload in hours, a matching service level, and the statutory filings your selections trigger — plus whether you are approaching the statutory audit thresholds.

  • No sign-up and no email address needed to see the result.
  • The weightings are published, so the estimate traces back to the selections.
  • The same calculation is re-run on the server when you send the request.

Since 1981

45 years of the same work in Heinola

ATM-Tilintarkastus Ky was entered in the Trade Register on 21 May 1981. In that time bookkeeping has moved from ledgers to the cloud, VAT has replaced turnover tax and filings have moved into OmaVero. The underlying work has not changed: vouchers on the right accounts, figures in the right period, the return filed on time.

What we do not promise

We publish no client counts, no satisfaction percentages and no calculation of how much our clients have saved in tax. Such a figure cannot be verified from the outside, and in taxation a savings promise is misleading by construction — the outcome is decided by the Tax Administration, not by the bookkeeper.

What can be checked: the registration details, the registration date and the VAT number. Links to the public registers are at the bottom of every page.

Frequently asked

The questions that come up first

How does changing accountants actually work?

A change is usually made at the turn of the financial year, but it works mid-year as well. We request the accounting records, balances and balance sheet specifications from the previous accountant, reconcile the opening balance sheet, and check that VAT and payroll filings are up to date. We need Suomi.fi authorisations in order to deal with the Tax Administration on your behalf.

Does our company need a statutory auditor?

Under the Finnish Auditing Act an auditor must be appointed if more than one of three limits is exceeded in two consecutive financial years: a balance sheet total of €100,000, turnover of €200,000, or an average of three employees. The obligation can also arise from the articles of association. Our estimator gives an indication, but the decision is always made on the actual financial statement figures.

Does ATM-Tilintarkastus Ky perform the statutory audit itself?

Our service is audit preparation and support: we bring the financial statements and the audit file into a state where the audit can proceed, and we handle the correspondence with the auditor. The statutory audit itself is performed by an HT or KHT auditor entered in the auditor register maintained by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.

Do you accept paper vouchers, or is everything digital?

Both work. Digital material is faster and cheaper to process and we recommend it, but paper is no obstacle — this office has been keeping books since 1981 and the routine is still there.

Can reporting be provided in English?

Yes. Monthly reports, financial statement commentary and day-to-day correspondence are available in Finnish or English. Filings to the Finnish authorities are made in Finnish, as the law requires.

Why is there no price list on the site?

Because the price depends on the quality of the records and on the systems in use, neither of which is visible from a web form. The estimator tells you the expected workload in hours and the service level; the price is agreed after a scoping conversation, in a written offer, so that you know what you are paying for.

Half an hour on the phone tells you more than a rate card

Tell us the company form, the financial year and what records you have. We will tell you what the work takes and what it costs — in writing.
